Bliv App (“Bliv App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting
your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect
your information when you use the Bliv App mobile application and website (collectively, the
“Platform”).
Bliv App is a Canada-focused rental marketplace designed to help renters and lessors discover
listings and connect with each other. This policy is written in accordance with Canada’s
Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
and Apple App Store privacy requirements.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
We may collect the following personal information when you create an account or use certain
features:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile photo (optional)
- Property listing details (for lessors)
- Images uploaded to listings
- Messages exchanged with other users
- Communications you send to us (e.g., support emails)
Phone numbers are not collected or required.
b. Guest Browsing
You may browse listings without creating an account using
guest mode.
In guest mode:
- No personal account information is required
- Access to features may be limited
c. Automatically Collected Information
For basic app functionality, we may collect limited technical data such as:
- Device type
- Operating system version
- App usage information (default system analytics only)
Bliv App does not have crash logging enabled.
2. How We Use Your Information
We collect and use information strictly for the following purposes:
- Listing discovery and browsing
- Listing creation and management
- Messaging between users
- App security and fraud prevention
- Legal and regulatory compliance
- Customer support and communication
- Sending waitlist or service-related emails
Bliv App does not use your data for:

3. Messaging & Communications
Messages exchanged on Bliv App are private between users.
- Messages are private between users
- No active monitoring or moderation
- End-to-end encryption is not currently implemented
- Listing images can be deleted by the owner
- Chat images may remain visible to recipients
Bliv App is not responsible for the content shared between users.
4. Listings & User-Generated Content
- All listings are created by users
- Listings may include images, descriptions, and other details

5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Users may delete their account at any time from within the app

Deletion may be initiated:
- Directly by the user
- By Bliv App administrators upon verified request
6. Push Notifications
Bliv App uses push notifications to:
- Notify users about messages
- Share important app updates
You may control notification permissions through your device settings.
7. Email Communications
Bliv App may send:
- Account-related emails
- Waitlist or service announcements
Bliv App does not send paid advertisements or third-party
marketing emails in this MVP. You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
8. Third-Party Services
Bliv App uses trusted third-party services strictly to operate the platform, including:
- Cloud hosting (AWS)
- Mapping services (Google Maps / Apple Maps, where applicable)
- Email delivery services (SendGrid)
- Push notifications (Firebase)
These providers process data only as required to deliver their services and are subject to
their own privacy obligations. Bliv App is not responsible for outages or failures caused by
third-party services.
9. Data Storage & Security

- United States (Ohio) for API services
- Canada for website services
No system is completely secure, and Bliv App cannot guarantee absolute security.
